History & background
Ubudiah Mosque was built 1913–1917 by Sultan Idris Murshidul Azzam Shah, designed by Arthur Benison Hubback. Golden domes and Indo-Saracenic touches make it Perak's architectural jewel.
Construction paused during World War I when Italian materials could not be shipped. Completed after the war, it remains a symbol of Perak royal grandeur.
