History & background
Eight-Dome Mosque opened in 1968 and became one of Ipoh's most recognisable architectural landmarks. Eight symmetrical domes make it unique — the nickname Eight-Dome Mosque is known across Perak.
It replaced older structures and symbolised Ipoh in the modern development era after independence. It stands near Ipoh Railway Station — the famous British Taj Mahal-style landmark.
