Disclaimer: not an official JAKIM site

Reviewed 2026-08-13 · e-Solat data · not a fatwa

Quick Answer

Is Waktu Solat Malaysia a government website?

No. This is an independent reference. Prayer times are matched from official JAKIM e-Solat. If they differ, follow e-solat.gov.my. Not a fatwa, not a mosque iqamah board.

What we claim — and what we do not

Waktu Solat Malaysia reformats the JAKIM e-Solat timetable so it is easy to find in Bahasa Malaysia and English. We are not the official JAKIM portal, islam.gov.my, a state religious department, or a mosque. JAKIM’s name, marks, and timetables remain government property; we republish clock facts with attribution, not as an agency.

Islamic affairs in Malaysia are a state matter (Federal Constitution, Ninth Schedule, List II), except the Federal Territories. Fatwas are issued by state fatwa committees / the mufti — not by a private website. We do not decide whether your prayer is valid.

Who to follow if sources disagree

  1. e-solat.gov.my — official entry times for your JAKIM zone.
  2. This site — a reformatted copy. Use it when it matches e-Solat.
  3. Your local mosque — azan and congregational iqamah. Iqamah is usually a few minutes after entry time; that is not “a different JAKIM time.”
  4. An imam, JAKIM i-Fiqh, or the state mufti — worship rulings, travel, hardship, and Ramadan.

Do not follow Google, Apple Clock, or a foreign app for obligatory prayer in Malaysia. Do not average two sources. Method: JAKIM data sources. Policy: editorial policy.

Timetable copyright

Prayer timetables are a JAKIM publication (all rights reserved). We republish the clock facts with attribution to e-Solat. We do not reproduce full official dua texts, we do not copy the government portal’s design, and we do not claim to be “the official site.”

What we do not guarantee

  • A specific mosque’s iqamah — we do not hold that congregation board.
  • 1 Ramadan / 1 Syawal — follow official hilal sighting announcements, not the date converter on this site.
  • Qibla to the inch in every surau — the JAKIM zone bearing is a zone reference, not a site survey.
  • 100% availability if the e-Solat API is down — if a zone is missing, we do not invent minutes.

Editor: Kaiser Khan. Send a named mismatch to [email protected]. This is an entry-time reference, not a fatwa. If you are unsure about a ruling, ask an imam or see JAKIM i-Fiqh.

This site is free. We did not build it to make money — only so prayer times are easy to check. May it be a blessing.
