History & background

Tengkera Mosque (Tranquerah) was built in 1728 in the Tengkera area — one of Melaka's historic Muslim communities. Among Malaysia's oldest still-active mosques, with roots in the Peranakan and early Malay trader communities.

It stands near Jonker Street and other heritage mosques — forming a cluster of historic Islamic architecture in UNESCO heritage Melaka. Traditional Malay structure remains a symbol of Islamic continuity in Melaka.

Melaka has only one zone MLK01 — one timetable for the entire state from Bandar Hilir to Jasin.
