History & background
Putra Mosque opened in 1999 as a landmark of Putrajaya, Malaysia's administrative capital. Its rose-pink granite dome and 116 m minaret make it one of the country's most photogenic mosques — popularly known as the Pink Mosque.
The design blends Maghrebi elements with modern Islamic architecture. It sits on Putrajaya Lake beside Dataran Putra and Putra Bridge — ideal for prayer and sightseeing.
Prayer times use zone WLY01 — identical to Kuala Lumpur. Residents of Presint 1–5 and Putrajaya share the same timetable; nearby Cyberjaya uses zone SGR01.
