History & background
Darul Ehsan Mosque opened in 1982 as Selangor's first state mosque in Shah Alam — the newly established capital. Modern Ottoman design with a large dome symbolised Selangor's Islamic sovereignty in an era of modern development.
After Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Mosque (Blue Mosque) completed in 1988, Darul Ehsan remains an important Seksyen 14 mosque — serving Shah Alam residents and symbolising the state's mosque development history.
