History & background

Sultan Iskandar Mosque in Bandar Baru Uda opened in 2015 as the main mosque for southern Johor Bahru. Named after Sultan Iskandar of Johor, it serves the large housing community and nearby Skudai residents.

Modern Islamic design with a large dome and capacity around 4,500 makes it the main Friday mosque for southern JB. It symbolises Johor Bahru's growth toward Skudai and modern housing areas.
