History & background
Sultan Ahmad Shah State Mosque opened in 1993 as Pahang's state mosque in Kuantan. Named after Sultan Ahmad Shah Al-Mustain Billah of Pahang, it replaced the old state mosque with a modern structure accommodating around 10,000 worshippers.
Modern Islamic design with a large dome makes it a Kuantan landmark — capital of Pahang on the east coast. It is the main Friday prayer centre for Kuantan and nearby districts.
Kuantan uses zone PHG02. Pahang has five zones (PHG01–PHG05) — verify your exact district before using prayer times.
