History & background
Kuching City Mosque (Old Mosque) was built in 1968 on the Sarawak River bank. Golden domes and a Waterfront-adjacent location make it a symbol of Islam in Sarawak's capital.
It replaced the original wooden mosque and remains the city prayer hub — from daily salah to religious ceremonies. River and Astana views across the water add to its appeal.
