Prayer times while travelling
When travelling or flying, use your destination zone or JAKIM's MyMuwaqqit guide — qasar/jamak follow fiqh rules.
When travelling (safar), prayer times may follow your current location or destination — depending on distance, duration, and Shafi'i rulings.
Practical tips:
- In flight — JAKIM provides MyMuwaqqit guidance; determine qibla and times by destination latitude when possible.
- Outside Malaysia — JAKIM times apply to Malaysia only; abroad use local sources or valid calculations.
- Qasar & jamak — Dhuhr/Asr/Maghrib/Isha may be shortened or combined under safar conditions; see JAKIM i-Fiqh.
- Before departure — check origin and destination zone schedules on this site.
