# Prayer times while travelling

> Inside Malaysia, follow the JAKIM zone for your current location or destination — not your home zone if you are already in another city. Abroad, JAKIM timetables do not apply. Qasar/jamak is a fiqh question, not a timetable question.

## Home zone or destination zone?

Once you are in another Malaysian city, use that city's zone. Do not carry WLY01 to Kota Kinabalu. Before departure, check both zones on this site.

## What about in flight?

JAKIM publishes MyMuwaqqit guidance. Determine qibla and times by destination when you can. An unsourced “prayer time” search is not a reference.

- In flight — MyMuwaqqit / islam.gov.my.

- Outside Malaysia — a valid local source; JAKIM is Malaysia-specific.

- Qasar & jamak — Shafi'i safar conditions; not a timetable column.
