> Special prayers include eclipse, hajat, qunut (witr), and istisqa — timing and method differ from the five daily obligatory prayers. Fajr–Isha still follow your JAKIM zone.

## Do special prayers change JAKIM times?

No. The five obligatory times stay on your zone timetable. Special prayers are voluntary or situational, outside the daily columns.

- **Eclipse prayer** — during the eclipse; follow mosque announcements, not regular Maghrib.

- **Hajat** — no JAKIM-specific time; avoid disliked hours.

- **Qunut** — in Witr (Shafi'i in Malaysia).

- **Istisqa** — usually at the mosque.
