# Jumu’ah in Malaysia

> On Friday, JAKIM’s Dhuhr column is entry time. Mosque Jumu’ah usually starts earlier for the khutbah — not a different JAKIM clock. Travellers: ask an imam.

## What is the Dhuhr column on Friday?

e-Solat has no separate “Jumu’ah” column. What you have is Dhuhr — that is when Dhuhr enters that day. Jumu’ah is prayed after Dhuhr has entered, with a khutbah before the prayer. Mosques usually call people earlier so the sermon is ready around entry time.

Do not confuse JAKIM’s clock with when the imam climbs the minbar. If your mosque gives azan or khutbah 20 minutes before e-Solat Dhuhr, that is local practice — confirm with the imam; we do not invent minutes here.

## Follow JAKIM or the mosque clock?

For entry time — JAKIM. For Jumu’ah congregation — your mosque. They usually agree. If you pray alone because you missed Jumu’ah, that is a fiqh question (some pray four-rak’ah Dhuhr) — ask an imam, not Google.

## Travelling on Friday?

Jumu’ah for a musafir is a fiqh question, not a timetable question. Destination-zone Dhuhr is still on e-Solat. Whether you must attend Jumu’ah or may shorten Dhuhr — see [JAKIM i-Fiqh](https://www.islam.gov.my/ms/index.php?pages=showlink&link=ifiqh) or an imam. Do not copy KL times to KK.
