# How to read a JAKIM prayer timetable

## How do I read one JAKIM row?

Each row is a date; each column is a time. The [e-Solat portal](https://www.e-solat.gov.my/) and this site show daily and monthly schedules. Dates often use Malay months (13-Ogos-2026).

- **Choose your state** — e.g. Selangor, Johor, Sabah.

- **Pick district / zone** — the zone code (WLY01, SGR01) sets your exact times.

- **Read the columns** — Imsak, Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, Isha.

- **Check the date** — times shift 1–2 minutes most days.

## Which columns are obligatory, which are sunnah?

Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, Isha are obligatory entry times. Imsak is a sahur reminder. Syuruk ends Fajr. Dhuha is voluntary. Maghrib is breaking time.
